Well, it took me a little longer to get the animation up than I expected. I ran into some upload problems and wasn't able to get to reuploading it until now. Here it is though. Here's some of the random animation I did. It's not the best because I did two things that an animator shouldn't do. First of all, I used natural lighting, so the lighting changes because of clouds covering the sun. I also touched the camera to take each picture, so there's a considerable amount of shake. Light painting is something that I've experimented somewhat with still images, but I'd like to try putting more of them together to form an animation. No, not a real bone, but a fake one. Today I tried out making a chicken leg out of Premo for 'The Hole', but it didn't work out too good. I was really testing out a new way of baking clay things so that they wouldn't get scorched like they had in the past. Here's one of the first animations I ever did in my life. It was a flip book animation done in elementary school of a magician on stage. Here's another free video editing program that I found called Avidemux. It looks like that it might be a little like Virtualdub, but it probably has some differences. If you've downloaded Virtualdub and don't really care for the interface, you should maybe check this out and see if you like it better. If you haven't try both and choose which ever one you like. Here's the short animation/claymation I did not too long ago. It's not the best in the world as it was just something for me to do in a time of boredom. Did another practice animation, this time of a blue man punching a bag. It was done at 24fps and on the Sony S60 again. I think it turned out pretty good besides a few camera shakes and the bottom of the punching bag wobbling a little. I had to delete a few frames from the punch because I took too many again. Zombie Pirates is probably one of the nicest clay animation blogs out there. It's done by Marc Spess, owner of Stop Motion Magic and Animate Clay, and is his project to make a quality series done in clay animation about Zombie Pirates. Morilyon Animations is the site of one person who does some animation, puppet making and more. He has both a blog, and a website, like me, to show off some of his stuff and to keep people updated about what he is doing. Here's what seems to be an interesting start to a stop motion project called Knight. Although it looks likes like it is just starting and there hasn't been much going on with it, the progress does look promising. I think that it would be nice to see the project finished because the puppets so far look nice and stylized and the set work looks pretty nice. It's low budget, but cool nonetheless.
